What once felt like a distant vision is now becoming reality.
Hope Continues to Arrive
Construction projects are often measured in percentages.
At House of Life, we see them differently.
Every wall that goes up, every room that takes shape, and every step forward represents something much greater than a building; it represents a young mother and a child who will soon have the opportunity to begin again.
Today, we are excited to share that the expansion of House of Life in El Salvador is now approximately 60% complete.
These two new rooms will allow us to welcome even more vulnerable teenage mothers and their babies into a safe, loving environment where they can experience healing, stability, education, and hope.
New Stories Continue to Arrive
While construction continues, life doesn't wait.
Just last week, we welcomed a new young mother into House of Life. At only 15 years old, she is expecting identical twins. Because of her age and pregnancy, she is considered high-risk and will require ongoing medical care and close support in the months ahead.
Like so many of the young women who come to us, she arrived carrying uncertainty about the future. But she also arrived at a place where she no longer has to face that future alone.
Moments like these remind us why this expansion matters.
These rooms are not simply preparing for future residents, they are preparing for real people whose stories are already unfolding.
Building More Than Rooms
Construction continues to move forward, and with it comes preparation for the next chapter.
Soon, these new spaces will allow us to welcome eight additional young mothers into House of Life, extending the same care, support, and opportunity that so many others have already received.
But preparing for new vulnerable young mothers means more than completing construction.
Every crib, diaper, meal, prenatal appointment, school uniform, and safe place to sleep becomes part of the environment that allows a young mother to heal and a baby to begin life surrounded by love and security.
A Community That Makes It Possible
One of the greatest blessings of this journey has been seeing people from around the world walk alongside us.
Every prayer, every encouraging message, every volunteer, and every gift helps transform empty rooms into homes filled with hope.
Watching this expansion take shape reminds us that the most important part of this project isn't what is being built, it's who it is being built for.
In just a few months, these rooms will hold stories of courage, laughter, learning, healing, and new beginnings.
For the young mothers who will soon call House of Life home, this expansion represents far more than additional space. It represents the opportunity to build a different future. And that is a story worth building together.
