Faithfulness in the Everyday: A New Year at Mi Casa
The beginning of a new year always invites reflection. It’s a moment to pause, look back, and take note of what has quietly carried us forward. As we step into this year, our hearts are filled with gratitude and renewed expectation, not because everything was easy, but because we saw God move in ways we could not have planned or anticipated.
Last year asked us to trust deeply. It stretched our faith, strengthened our commitment, and reminded us that the most meaningful transformation often happens in the unseen, everyday moments. God provided in ways that affirmed what we have always believed: faithfulness matters, even when the path forward is unclear.
We are overwhelmed with joy, knowing that soon we will welcome eight more babies and their mamas into the House of Life. Just as we once did with Belén and her mama, trusting God with each life He places in our care.
When the Dream Began
The dream to expand House of Life did not begin with numbers, timelines, or construction plans. It began with people, young women in deep vulnerability who needed safety, care, and a place to belong. As we listened, prayed, and walked through this season, it became clear that God was inviting us to make room.
Not just physical room, but space rooted in obedience, responsibility, and trust.
Expansion was never about becoming bigger. It was about responding faithfully to the needs placed before us and stewarding the calling God entrusted to our care.
Now, as we prepare to begin construction, our hearts are filled with gratitude and quiet joy. This next step will allow us to welcome and care for eight more young women and their babies, offering them not just a safe home, but a family and a future filled with hope.
An Update We’re Grateful to Share
As part of this journey, we shared a goal to raise $56,000; funds needed to sustain daily life and prepare our home to receive new girls with the care and dignity they deserve.
Because of the generosity and faithfulness of those who walk with us, we are overjoyed to share that this goal has been fully reached.
This support allows us to prepare House of Life to welcome eight more girls once the rooms are completed; young women who will soon find safety, stability, and family within these walls. This milestone is more than a financial achievement; it is a testimony of what becomes possible when people choose to walk together in faith.
New Beginnings Inside Our Homes
As we move forward, new beginnings are already unfolding across the Mi Casa family. Our children are preparing for a new school year with excitement and anticipation, gathering supplies, settling into routines, and stepping into a season marked by hope and possibility.
At House of Life, two of our teen moms are preparing to begin high school, stepping into a dream that once felt distant. These moments remind us why faithful, long-term care matters. Futures are not built overnight, but through consistency, presence, and love that remains.
As we begin this year, we do so encouraged and deeply grateful. The work continues quietly, day by day, strengthened by the faithfulness of God and the community that walks alongside us.
Thank you for being part of the Mi Casa family, for believing in this work, for trusting God with us, and for helping build futures filled with hope.
