A New Season Begins

We have been praying, planning, and working toward this moment for months, and today we can finally say it:

The expansion for House of Life is fully funded.

Thanks to the generosity of so many at the Club Cocal fundraising event last month, the $55,000 we needed has been secured. We’re getting ready to start construction, and we expect the new rooms and bathrooms to be ready by March. Very soon, eight more pregnant abandoned teen mothers and their babies will be able to call The House of Life “home.”

This is more than construction. It is a sanctuary, a safe haven, and a future. Every brick and every wall are a testimony that God sees these young women, and He has not forgotten them. Now, as we celebrate this beautiful miracle, a new chapter begins.

With the space ready, we now face the challenge of caring for the 16 new souls who will arrive. Our hearts are open and expectant for what God will do. The rooms are being built, and now we are believing for the monthly support we need to welcome them fully.

The young women who arrive at House of Life come from very hard places. Most are malnourished, exhausted, and carrying deep fear (their unborn babies, too). They step through our doors fragile, overwhelmed, and unsure if healing is even possible. From the first day they arrive, we begin rebuilding that hope through safety, nourishment, and love. We care for their bodies with healthy meals and medical attention, and we care for their hearts with community, prayer, and affection.

Each day, a little of the fear melts away.

Our psychologists and team, trained in Building Baby Brains and adolescent trauma by our dear friend Dr. Alexandra Harrison from Harvard University, walk alongside them. They provide constant support, guidance, and therapeutic care, helping them rediscover joy, dignity, and confidence. The transformations are remarkable. Visitors often tell us they are moved to tears by what they see: depression turning into laughter, isolation turning into sisterhood, and babies growing stronger in the wombs and arms of a mother who now knows she is capable and loved.

The cost to provide food, diapers, medical care, education, mentoring, and a safe environment is $700 per month per mother-baby pair.

We expect to welcome the girls by March, and so we need 10 months of support to begin.

That means:

$700 x 8 = $5,600 per month
10 months = $56,000 total

Nutritious food isn’t just important; it is integral to our mission. For a baby to catch up and thrive, each mama and child requires plenty of fresh vegetables, fruits, and protein every single day.

Just the food alone for mama and baby costs approximately $10 a day. And then come the diapers, wipes, baths, and all the daily essentials every baby needs:

  • A newborn goes through 8–10 diapers every day

  • A pack of 128 diapers costs $42.99

  • A box of 6 baby wipes packs costs $15.99

It adds up quickly, yet we see the miracle each week:

  • Tiny babies gaining weight,

  • Bright eyes returning,

  • Strength growing where there used to be weakness.

Every penny goes directly to keeping these little ones clean, healthy, and safe.

This is what your support means:

A girl who was alone, will sleep in safety.
A baby who was at risk, will be protected and loved.
A young mother who had no future, will finish school, heal, and dream again.

Sixteen stories rewritten.
Sixteen futures changed forever.
Sixteen lives saved.

We are so excited to see what God will do through the incredible family of friends who support us, and we can’t wait to bring you along on this journey. Our hope is to reach the full amount ($56,000) before the year ends so that, as soon as construction is finished, we can welcome the new girls and babies into their home.
