Bitcoin, Hope & Home: Our Week of Purpose in El Salvador
Last week was a very meaningful moment in our mission’s history, a week where technology, faith, and the fight for human dignity came together in a way only God could orchestrate.
Many people asked us: Why is House of Life involved with the Bitcoin community?
The answer is simple:
Because Bitcoin gives us a path to SUSTAINABILITY.
And sustainability means SAVING MORE LIVES, not just today, but for decades to come.
This November, we stepped deeper into that vision. Here’s what happened.
Why Bitcoin Matters to Mi Casa International
We’re building more than homes, we’re building futures. Bitcoin gives us tools to do that.
Our 3 major long-term goals:
A Bitcoin Reserve for Sustainability
A long-term savings strategy to make Mi Casa and House of Life financially independent. So that every donation multiplies, inflation does not steal food from a child’s plate, emergencies do not stop us from caring for them.Homes for Every Girl Who Leaves House of Life
When our girls turn 18, their greatest fear is not motherhood, it is homelessness. That’s where our “Pay It Forward” model comes in place.
We want to build houses that they can “rent” in bitcoin until the cost of building the next house is covered.
Then the title goes in their name and a new house can be built for the next girl.
→ A cycle of dignity, not dependence.
Future House of Life Communities
The next one: a community model with a House of Life + Assisted Living + Montessori School where each part supports the other and work together as a self-sustaining ecosystem.
→ Elders find purpose.
→ Mothers find jobs.
→ Children grow up surrounded by love.
Bitcoin gives us the infrastructure to make these dreams real.
Bitcoin Week: A Turning Point
Bitcoin Histórico
The week began with a gift: A dear friend donated Bob’s ticket to attend the first-ever International Bitcoin Conference hosted by the Government of El Salvador.
For the first time, House of Life’s mission was represented among world leaders, innovators, and global investors, opening doors we never imagined.
Adopting Bitcoin: Speaking for the Children
Bob spoke on the panel “Bitcoin for Orphans and At-Risk Youth” alongside Alejandra Guajardo (“Miss Bitcoin”).
He shared the heart of House of Life, how depression becomes hope, the babies born under our care, how education becomes opportunity, and our vision for creating generational change.
We saw people in the audience who were moved.
We saw donors step forward that same day.
We met builders who want to help expand our mission globally.
A friend also donated entrance tickets for all of our House of Life girls so they could learn, explore, and dream bigger.
Will Lehr’s Vision for a Regenerative Future
Our great friend Will Lehr spoke about a vision very close to our hearts: building houses for our girls using regenerative real estate.
On his panel, “Regenerative Bitcoin Community Real Estate Developments”, Will explained our upcoming dreams and the possibilities a bitcoin-driven economic model can provide.
This was the first time our long-term plan was presented publicly, and the response was overwhelming.
The Week Wrapped with an Unforgettable Fundraiser
We closed the week at Club Cocal, thanks to our dear friend Will — a night filled with:
A House of Life fundraiser
Networking with builders & innovators
A screening of Ryan Matta’s new documentary
Miss Bitcoin’s birthday
Bitcoiners giving generously from the heart
It was a night of community, vision, and God’s confirmation that we are heading in the right direction.
A Week That Marks the Beginning of Something Bigger
This wasn’t just an event week. It was a turning point.
We now have more allies, more donors, more opportunities, and more global visibility to do what God called us to do: Save lives, heal hearts, and build a future where every child and mother has a home.
This presents us with the opportunity to steward what God gives us through the amazing people who support us, multiply it, and turn it into something bigger.
Thank you for walking this journey with us.
We have only just begun.
