A Season of Growth, Gratitude, and New Beginnings

The school year has come to an end in El Salvador, and our homes are filled with joy, celebration, and hope. Every graduation photo, every smiling child in a school uniform, every exam passed, each one is a reminder of why we do what we do. God has been faithful.

The school year has just come to an end here in El Salvador, and our homes have been filled with celebration. Some of our children graduated from high school, a milestone that once felt impossible for many of them. Others finished pre-school, proudly wearing their tiny uniforms, taking their first steps into a brighter future. And several of our girls at House of Life completed their high-school admission exams, opening doors they never imagined could belong to them.

Watching each child grow, heal, and step into their God-given potential is the greatest privilege of our lives.

We cannot help but share one of the brightest moments of this season, one of our boys graduated from high school. He came to our Mi Casa family when he was just 4 years old, and a few weeks ago he proudly received his high school diploma. Maricela and Bob took him out to celebrate this huge milestone, joined by some of his brothers. The best examples for the boys are their older brothers, like Juan Carlos who came to Mi Casa over 20 years ago and will graduate with his Systems Engineering degree next year.

When the younger boys watch their brothers make a difference, they know they can too. Glory to God for these stories of redemption! Our newly graduate will begin studying Business Administration this coming January at the Technological University of El Salvador. We could not be more proud of the young man he has become.

From abandoned little boys to men who will lead homes of their own, this is the work God has called us to.

This year, we have also been blessed by the generosity and support of remarkable people who have come alongside us in our mission. The renovation of the Boys’ House kitchen is complete, a project that allows us to welcome more children and care for them with dignity and warmth. We are now looking forward to preparing one more room for more children to come in. Every nail, every tile, every shared meal to come is a testimony to God’s provision through His people.

New Opportunities for Teen Moms

As we rejoice in all the incredible accomplishments this season, we also celebrate the courage of our girls at House of Life. For many teenage mothers in a third-world country, school is usually a closed door, yet now, they are stepping toward their dreams. By taking their high school admissions exams, they are changing not only their future, but their baby’s future as well.

With safety, love, structure, and support, dreams do come true. What once felt impossible is now in reach for them.

A Miracle: Full Funding for the Expansion

For months, we prayed. We waited. We trusted. And now, we stand in awe of God’s faithfulness. Through the generosity of friends and partners, every dollar needed for the House of Life expansion has been provided. Ahead of us is a new chapter, a place where eight more teen mothers and their babies will find safety, love, and a future filled with possibilities. Sixteen more stories redeemed. Sixteen more cycles of abandonment broken. Sixteen more lives transformed by hope. This is restoration in motion, and we are deeply grateful to witness it.

Through every challenge and every victory, one thing has remained the same: God has been faithful. And He has shown His faithfulness through you, your prayers, your generosity, your presence, your belief in this mission.

Looking Ahead

As this school year comes to a close, our hearts are full, not just because of what God has already done, but because of what we see ahead. There are more children to love, more mamas to support, and more lives waiting to be restored. The future we dream of is simple and beautiful: every child who enters our homes grows up safe, educated, loved, and confident in the purpose God has for them. And so, we will keep building, with faith, with unity, and with deep gratitude.

Thank you for walking this journey with us. Together, we are changing generations.
