Faith, Freedom & Teamwork: Mi Casa at the Bitcoin 2025 Las Vegas Conference
When Mi Casa International received the invitation for Bob McDonell to speak at the 2025 Bitcoin Conference in Las Vegas, it felt like divine timing; an open door to share a story that has been shaping lives for decades in El Salvador. Behind that opportunity stood a small, but mighty team with hearts fully aligned to the mission: to break the cycle of abuse and abandonment through Christ-centered love and sustainable solutions.
For months, our team worked tirelessly to prepare for this trip, from creating visual materials and printing shirts and postcards, to building a strong message. A message that would represent not just an organization, but hundreds of children and teen mothers whose lives have been transformed at Mi Casa International and House of Life. Each detail was intentional; each word, a reflection of faith in action.
Bob participated in different panels with Miss Bitcoin and DJ Valerie BLove.
When Bob took the stage, he wasn’t alone. He carried with him the prayers, efforts, and stories of our entire family — the caregivers (“tías” and “tíos”), the volunteers, the team, and the children who have found healing and hope through our homes.
During the panel discussions, Bob spoke with sincerity and conviction about breaking the cycle of abuse and human trafficking. He shared how House of Life rescues pregnant teenagers, many victims of exploitation, and helps them rewrite their story through love, education, and the chance to raise their babies in a safe and nurturing environment.
Many people were touched by the initiative to en the Cycles of Abuse and Human Trafficking.
The room was moved. Many attendees had never heard stories like these, and several approached afterward wanting to know how they could help. Some gave on the spot. Others began conversations about partnerships and future visits.
This moment at the Bitcoin Conference was far more than exposure, it was a bridge. It connected hearts from around the world to the work happening in El Salvador, showing that true freedom doesn’t end with rescue, it continues with restoration.
Real love, hope, and opportunities bring restoration and changes the future.
None of it would have been possible without the incredible team that believed in the mission and worked together to make it happen. This experience was a reminder that when people come together, fueled by faith, compassion, and purpose, the impact reaches far beyond what any of us can see.
