Big News at House of Life

Two New Families, and Big News Ahead at House of Life

On September 28th, two young mothers and their babies officially moved into House of Life's Mama & Baby Shelter, a moment nearly a year in the making.

A Milestone Years in the Making

This didn't happen overnight. Supporters have watched this journey unfold all year: the construction updates, the fundraising toward beds and welcome kits, the shifting timeline. Every bit of it led to this day. These two mamas and their babies didn't wait for the brand-new rooms still under construction, they moved into existing space in the main house, because readiness was measured in love, not just in finished walls.

What This Moment Actually Means

A young mother arriving at House of Life doesn't just get a bed. She gets people who will learn her story without flinching from it, who will hold her baby so she can rest, who will walk with her through fear until it starts to look more like hope. This has played out again and again over the years, young women who arrived unsure if they'd ever trust anyone again, now raising children of their own with a steadiness they first learned here. That's what's beginning for these two families now.

More to Come This Month

This is shaping up to be one of the most significant months in House of Life's nearly 40-year history. In the next few days, there's more to share — something about how House of Life presents itself to the world, almost forty years in the making. The same family, the same three homes, in a new light.

Our Story on Angel

There's one more piece of news: our story is featured on Episode 3 of The Story of Angel, a docuseries from Angel Studios. Episode 4 arrives October 16, and the series can be found at https://www.angel.com/shows/story-of-angel

"Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain." (Psalm 127:1)

None of this growth has happened alone.
