Together, We Build Hope in El Salvador
Welcome to the new Mi Casa International blog!
We’re thrilled to have a space to share the heart of our ministry—stories of transformation, milestones from our children, and the incredible ways God is restoring lives here in El Salvador.
Every opportunity to learn is essential in growing, healing and building a future full of hope.
Who We Are
Mi Casa International is a Christ-centered nonprofit serving vulnerable children and teen mothers in El Salvador. What began in the 1980s with a vision placed in Bob McDonell’s heart has grown into three life-changing programs:
House of Life – A home and support program for pregnant teenagers, breaking cycles of abuse and abandonment.
Mi Casa Kids (Boys & Girls) – Safe, loving homes for children who have been orphaned, abused, or abandoned.
Baby Wings Program – Dedicated to newborns and infants, ensuring healthy development in a family-like environment.
Because the first moments matter, our Baby Wings Program gives every newborn a true chance at life.
Our Mission
Our mission is simple yet powerful: to provide Christ-centered homes that heal, nurture, and restore futures. We don’t see children as statistics—we see them as God’s beloved sons and daughters, each with purpose, potential, and dignity.
Every house has loving caregivers who do more than supervise — they nurture, guide, and help our children heal.
Stories That Matter
Through this blog, we’ll bring you stories that don’t make the headlines but change the world:
Moments of healing and restoration,
Celebrations of joy and faith,
The challenges and victories of walking alongside vulnerable children and teen mothers.
Each story is a reminder of how God is rewriting lives with love, family, and hope for a brighter future.
At our stimulation room in House of Life, play becomes therapy. Each activity helps our babies grow stronger, calmer, and more connected.
Thank You
Thank you for reading, praying, and walking with us. Every child and every mother represent a future transformed by love. Together, we are building hope—one child, one mother, one story at a time.
With gratitude,
The Mi Casa International Family
