Breaking the cycle through healing and love since 1989

Providing unconditional love and a safe place to call home to the children of El Salvador

It all begins with a dream.

We are about to launch a game-changing program that has never been done before.

Take a tour of Mi Casa Kids

In 1989 we started our first home for orphaned and abandoned children in El Salvador.

Our Programs

  • Mi Casa Kids

Mi Casa International is a non-profit organization created to seek abandoned, orphaned, and abused children. Raised in Christ-centered family homes, these children will receive education and vocational training. Our unique programming equips each child to become a successful adult.

  • Baby Wings

In 2020, the Baby Wings program was established as an emergency care initiative for infants who require urgent assistance. Without aid, these babies are at risk of death or increased susceptibility to illnesses, developmental setbacks, growth impairment, visual impairment, and emotional, social, and neurological harm.

  • House of Life Mama and Baby Shelter

    LAUNCHING NOW

We're excited to announce that we have received accreditation from the Salvadorian Government and secured two additional houses from a generous donor. We will launch the first-ever Mama & Baby Shelter for pregnant teenage girls aged 10 to 14 on July 15th, 2023. We are seeking your support to make this project a success.

  • Meet Our Kids

We have two homes in Santa Tecla, El Salvador. Our children are truly gifts from God. Through your sponsorship, they are given a safe home and a quality education. Each child is uniquely gifted and created for a specific purpose.

  • Life At Mi Casa

Have you ever wondered what a day in the life at Mi Casa Kids looks like? We can assure you it is not mundane. In contrast, it is full of constant schedule changes, belly rolling laughs, outdoor adventures, and lots of time spent as a family.

  • Financials

Have you ever thought about how much of your donations actually reach the children in need? At our organization, 92% of all donations directly benefit the kids. It's our priority to maintain overhead costs below 10% and utilize all contributions in the most efficient and effective manner possible.

Education is a gift that no one can take away.

Without private education, children have no chance of survival in El Salvador. Gangs run the public school systems. Boys are forced to join gangs or suffer beatings as a result of their noncompliance. Girls can be pulled into the bathrooms and raped at any point by the gang members and the teachers will simply turn and look the other way for fear of their own lives. Even if the youth were to pay extortion money every day for “protection,” they still run a high risk of attending the public school system. This is a risk the Mi Casa Organization is not willing to take. Each Mi Casa Kid must have a safe learning environment to further their education.
